Sr .Net Full Stack Developer
About Spire Soft LLC
We are a bootstrapped, remote-first product startup. We build software that works—currently powering productivity through a SaaS suite in the Project Management and Legal-Tech sectors.
As we expand, we need builders who thrive with high autonomy. We don’t micromanage; we expect extreme ownership.
We hire unconventional thinkers who view "I don’t know" as an invitation to learn and who prefer building products over just "clearing tickets."
Roles & Responsibilities
The Role
We are looking for a .NET Full Stack Software Engineer with 7+ years of experience to build commercial-grade, highly maintainable software. This is a high-visibility role; you will work directly with a 20+ year tech veteran, moving rapidly from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage the full feature lifecycle—from architecture and schema design to deployment and optimization.
- Architect for Scale: Design performant backend services using .NET Core and C# for our Legal-Tech and Project Management suites.
- Modernize & Refactor: Lead the evolution of our codebase, transitioning legacy patterns into modern, high-performance architectures.
- Build Seamless UIs: Develop responsive, "product-first" frontend experiences using Angular and TypeScript.
- Performance Engineering: Proactively optimize the stack (SQL, API latency, Redis caching) using Azure-native tools.
- Quality Autonomy: Own your testing strategy (Unit, Integration, TDD) to ensure stability at high velocity.
- Technical Mentorship: Act as a sounding board for the team through shared learning and rigorous code reviews.
- DevOps Integration: Refine Azure CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure to keep deployment frictionless.
Requirements:
Technical Requirements
- Backend Mastery: 7+ years of expertise in C#, .NET Core/MVC, and building robust Web APIs.
- Modern Frontend: Proficient in Angular (TypeScript). Familiarity with Vue.js or React is a significant plus.
- Data Architecture: High proficiency in MS SQL Server, including complex schema design and query optimization.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Functions, Service Bus) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Tooling: Proficiency in Python for specialized scripting and a strong grasp of Git-based workflows.
Work Authorization
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- No Visa Sponsorship: Please apply only if you are authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Benefits:
Perks & Benefits
- Direct Mentorship: Daily collaboration with a 20+ year tech veteran. No layers, just direct knowledge transfer.
- Hybrid Flexibility: We prioritize output and milestones over desk time. Work where you are most productive.
- Zero Bureaucracy: Fast execution with no approval hurdles. If you have a better way to build it, own it.
- Performance-Linked Rewards: Bonuses tied directly to product success and company milestones.
- Modern Tech Stack: Solve real-world problems using the latest tools and high-growth methodologies.
- Strict Work-Life Balance: 5-day work week (Monday–Friday). Weekends are yours.
- High-Impact Environment: A startup culture where initiative is the primary currency.
Compensation
The compensation for this position is $45–$55 per hour, commensurate with expertise, experience, and technical skill set.
Preferred:
Who Should Apply
- The "Founding-Mindset" Engineer: You want to build a business, not just a feature. You value learning the "how" and "why" of product strategy directly from a 20-year industry veteran.
- The Self-Starter: You thrive in ambiguity. If a process doesn't exist, you build it.
- The Lifelong Learner: You view "bootstrapped" as an opportunity to wear multiple hats—architect, developer, and product thinker.
- The Quality Obsessive: You write clean, maintainable code because you know you’ll be the one scaling it tomorrow.
- The Future Leader: You are looking for a path that leads to an Engineering Lead role as the company scales.
Who This Is NOT For
- Preference for Rigid Structure: If you need detailed, pre-written specs for every task, you won't be happy here.
- Discomfort with "Zero-to-One": This role is for those who enjoy building from scratch with minimal supervision.
- Silo Seekers: If you prefer the specialized, siloed roles of a large corporation over the broad impact and high visibility of a core product team, this isn't the right fit.
